Out of This World!

This academic year, our students were given opportunities is exploring the fascinating topic of planets and space travel.  P1, P2 and P5 students attended to post-exam workshops, comparing planets in our solar system and learning about the rockets and astronauts that help us understand the universe.

In term one, P2 students discovered what it truly takes to become an astronaut. They learned about the parts of a spacesuit and why going into space is both an amazing and difficult achievement. Through an interactive story, students imagined life in space and explored what it takes to succeed as an astronaut.

In term two, P1 students learned about different parts of a rocket and then designed their own. Meanwhile, P5 students took a deeper dive, comparing Earth and Mars.  Students were highly engaged in each of these exciting activities.
