Spelling Bee

In late June and July, all of the students participated in our Annual Spelling Bee.  The competition was divided into two sections.  In part one, the students competed against their fellow classmates to get two winners from each class.  These winners competed amongst other class winners in the school hall to crown the champions from each grade level.  This competition is always a lot of fun and is a great way to see how much new vocabulary they have learned throughout the year. 

During the competition in the hall the audience gets a chance to win prizes by answering riddles.  This year’s Spelling Bee was filled with excellent spellers.  In fact, for two grade levels we had to award co-champions as the students spelled every word they were given!
